Last year Amanda and I visited Glacier for a couple days before the official start of the summer season. Going to the Sun Road was still closed, but we avoided the crowds, explored the park in solitude, took in the wonderful scenery, and ran into some incredible wildlife. We hiked on the Grinnell Glacier trail and were a little bummed that we hadn’t seen any wildlife. I got the feeling that something might be watching us, so I happened to glance up. I saw this majestic animal looking back down at me!
