The beaches here are part of the Red Sea with Saudi Arabia and its proposed mega city Neom just across the water. Sinai is a sustainable travel option. People stay in huts, eat local food and enjoy diving and snorkelling the reefs of the Red Sea, and hiking in the mountains to places like St Catherine's monastery.
