The famous Cutty Sark clipper viewed from the bow with the sun setting behind "Nannie" the figure head. She is based on the beautiful young witch from Robert Burn's Poem "Tam o' Shanter. The thing dress she is wearing is known as a "Cutty Sark". In her hand she holds the tail hairs from Tam's horse after a flighty pursuit. Andy Peters carved the current figure head in 2021 using the original design by Hercules Linton.
