Sunrise in Yosemite Valley happens slightly later because of the incredible  heights of the surrounding cliffs. We were able to catch that first bit of warmth from the sun and have this incredible place to ourselves. Reflecting on this photo it reminds me how truly small we are in comparison to the world around us and how lucky we are to experience moments like this, to experience the beauty if only for a short time.
