My first visit with the Rockies was a series of constant adjustments. Did this count as a country road? Was that person driving towards their cattle farm? What constitutes ‘country’ out here? What kind of a country is this? Interlaced with cracks and crevices and rich green pouring onto vast swaths of the palest  gold, this place called Colorado was a swathe for my perception. I don’t know if I will ever wrap my head around all I saw here.
