If you know the Victory Column in Berlin, you know that it’s tiny. There’s maybe room for 10 people up at the top and in order ensure that we caught sunset I stood in the same spot in the cold for a good hour and a half. It was well worth it though, the leaves had yet to fall on the trees and the golden light gave each a soft glow.
