The women of the Rift Valley area of Kenya tell us their biography through their clothing and beaded "jewelry." She is married with children. The hem of her shaw said, "Do not forget my suffering tomorrow" in Swahili. Her tribal name "Maasai" translates to "spotted" referring to the landscape of short bushy trees which dot the land.
