Taken on a morning photowalk during the annual blooming of Washington, DC’s Cherry Blossom trees. It was a cold morning, but the day ended up becoming the first day the season’s ‘Peak Bloom’, so the flowers were gorgeous.

Cherry blossoms hang, suspended in space, their preternatural beauty like stars in the night sky.  I think they’re plum blossoms actually, but my wife says they’re cherry.
