After a long five hour trek uphill on day two of the Kepler Great Walk in New Zealand, we finally reached the top of our climb and were blessed with this breathtaking view. When I think about that hike I remember how mentally and physically difficult it was, but when I look at this photo I’m reminded that it was completely worth it.

Seeing one of New Zealand’s great walks from the air has only made me want to hike it on the ground even more! I can’t imagine what the scale of these mountains must be like from the ground.
