A hundred years old church in contrast with modern high rise architecture in the background. CCC Hop Yat Church is a renowned and historical Christian church on Bonham Road on HKIsland's Mid-levels residential district. Built in 1926, it's Grade 1 Historic Building under the official list of Historic Buildings in HK. The architectural style is Gothic revival style. It's surrounded by high rise luxurious residential apartment buildings in this area called the Mid-levels.

The side view of the Gothic revival architecture style church called Hop Yat Church (Hop Yat means 'to be one' in Chinese). It was established by the Church of Christ in China (CCC). Hop Yat Church is a renowned and historical Christian church on Bonham Road in the Mid-levels residential district. Built in 1926, almost a century ago, it's Grade 1 Historic Building under the official list of Historic Buildings.

Thought of Susan Berger’s series here. In this case, it’s a boulevard which takes the good doctor’s name. Fitting for a sacred space in Covington, which rests on the border of The South and Ohio, which would traditionally be considered ‘Yankee.’ This striking example of gothic revival doesn’t seem to fit entirely into the Midwest or the Rust Belt or most’s notions of Appalachia.
