"It is always better to lose your shoes in a mosque than to not come to the mosque at all." I captured this moment at Masjid-e-Nabawi in Madina as I was preparing for Asr Salah. The crowded shoe rack, filled with the footprints of countless pilgrims, symbolizes the shared humility and devotion of all who visit this sacred mosque. Each pair left behind is a reminder of the worldly things we set aside to find spiritual peace within. The beautifully carved wooden shelves stand witness to the millions who come here seeking closeness to Allah, united in prayer and purpose.
