Spent the morning staring down the sandstone cliffs into Lake Powell.  This was the most barren and open space I have ever been in.  No trees, barely any shrubs even…just flat and wide-open space into massive sandstone cliffs jutting up and falling away hundreds of feet.  Maybe life on Mars does exist? The drive through scenic Zion National Park was awe inspiring and almost too perfect to be considered real in pictures. But trust me it is real and worth every penny, and every second it takes to drive from salt lake city.
