This photo is a part of larger set documenting the city of Margate. The city is known for its Margate Sands beaches. It’s been a leading seaside resort for over 250 years. There’s much less tourism nowadays and a lot of the builds are abandoned. This particular photo is about a local resident, observing the sea and the beach. Maybe reminiscing about the great times when the city was much more prosperous.
