I was creating an art piece that required some black ink splattered with water on white paper. I took this photo as I was waiting for the ink to dry for the next stage of the art piece.

This is a macro image from my ongoing art breeding project: a process where I take two of my art pieces, cut them into fragments, mix them up, and create new works out of them. This particular set came from two colored pencil and pen drawings that used similar colors. I chopped the originals into over 200 hexagons. 

This closeup is of one of the five art pieces I constructed from the fragments.

To make this image, I used a combination of blue, red, and white acrylic paints, along with some glue, water, and pouring medium on a tile.  I mixed each paint concoction individually, and poured them bit by bit until they overflowed the surface of the tile.  This photo is a closeup before the paints began to dry.

To make this image, I used a combination of black and gold alcohol inks, along with some isopropyl alcohol on a non-absorptive paper. I started by adding a priming amount of isopropyl alcohol to the center of the paper. Before it could dry (which happens in an instant), I added a few drops of black ink, followed by gold. I took this photo as they were drying.

To make this image, I used a combination of yellow, magenta, orange, and black alcohol inks, along with some isopropyl alcohol on a non-absorptive paper. I started by dripping a few drops of ink in the center, and manipulated the spread of the colors by adding drops of clear alcohol around it.  This photo is a closeup as the inks were drying.
