While fall doesn’t officially end until late December, the last of the leaves leaves fall at the end of November and all is still. It’s the in-between. No joy of autumn leaves, but no wonder of winter snow. Everything feels dead now.

We were passing through Pennsylvania and came across an old mining town, Centralia. The mines had caught fire decades back and still burned underground, leaving a ghost town. This white church stood in stark contrast to the rest of the town.

This image makes me feel like we are accelerating towards the light, into an adventure where no one is sure what awaits. Here’s to adventure!
