The ancient stone Roman theater of the Odeon of Herodes Atticus (also known as the Herodeion or Herodion), built in 161 AD on the southwest slope of the Acropolis of Athens, Greece. Originally a roofed music venue commissioned by wealthy benefactor Herodes Atticus in memory of his wife Regilla, it was restored in the 1950s and serves today as the premier open-air venue for the annual Athens Epidaurus Festival.

This image features Cladocora caespitosa, a stony coral found in the Mediterranean Sea. It is known as the only coral species in the Mediterranean that builds true reefs.The coral colonies can take decades to form large structures.This species is currently considered threatened due to rising sea temperatures and mass mortality events.
