A sense of tranquility. I was travelling through the dunes and we reached the end of the beach. No bridge. We had to wait for a fragile wooden ferry which would take us to the other side, where we could enjoy an amazing sunset and crystal waters. While waiting, I captured this moment. It kind reminded how life can be sometimes. We face unexpected issues, we stop, we think, we appreciate what’s around us, believe in the path that lies ahead, and embark in a journey which will lead us to our goal. Life will always be switching between shadows and highlights. Make it to the other side for now.

I started from brazil, crossed the border and went straight to the Mirador Garganta del Diablo. Rain was threatening the day and I knew that had to fast. As soon as I reached there an amazing loud and heavy sound of water falling. A mist of water constantly showering people and cameras around. Fortunately it was low season and the waterfalls were at their peak of flow which allowed me to capture this beautiful momento of green grass, mist and the strength of the mother nature. A few minutes later it started to rain really hard it only stopped at night. Perfect timing.

People tend to photograph the ocean and sand - which were behind me. I did this same path over and over but never realised how simple things can actually be quite nice if we see them from a different perspective. We just need to pay a bit more attention to our daily surroundings.

It reminded me of the journey of life, mostly when you look back into your past and memories where you cannot go back to. However, you can still see them. You can still see some of the richest and colourful memories but also some of the darkest moments that you went through.

Took it on a random day when I was going home from work through Bricklane in London.
It reminds me of all our different commutes and daily routines, living a day at a time, building different lives brick by brick. But at the end of the day, we all look for that same relaxation of an accomplished day.
