Distant storm clouds make for a beautiful evening sky. Taken from Burlington, Ontario. Radarshowed that the storm was over Lake Erie close to 100 kms away.

It should not be too difficult to see why this bird is called the Spotted Sandpiper. Seen searching the shoreline for dinner.

This beauty came right up to me and asked me to take her picture. She was too close to get all of her, but the lighting was beautiful and brought out the best of her. Valley Inn, Burlington

This wood duck has been hanging around southern Ontario during the cold of winter and makes a nice contrast of colour in the snow.

When a young killdeer hides in the grass, it is almost impossible to find them they are so well camouflaged. If you wait long enough, they will give themselves away, like this young killdeer checking to see if the coast is clear.

We were looking for this reported owl for several hours. We were about to give up, when he saw our dejected faces, and so he hooted to alert us to his presence. He made our day.
