Taking this Sunday to knock out some client work in Javascript

Well, I’m in for the long haul tonight. Finalizing a project for a final presentation and release into a production environment.

This application will be used by 300,000+ users every SINGLE day and I’m extremely happy to say that through testing, this app will handle that traffic like a freaking champ.

On this snowy December day in Utah, I was held up in my living room working on a major project for a client. Working with Node.js to build out an immense backend for a custom ecommerce store.

Every morning I plan my day with a cup of coffee, some music, and my notebook. Most people I know use apps nowadays to keep their productivity up, but for me, I fall off with those. I get too caught up in their “system” and the way they “do things” in those apps. For me, I just like a simple notebook and a pen to keep track of my activities. I don’t need fancy graphs or tracking to know if I’m doing good or not!

This Friday I was finishing up some code for a client project. This is a progressive web app/ios app/android app all-in-one using Ionic Cordova, Firebase/Firestore, and Angular. I absolutely love this setup as it enables you to write code essentially once and build/deploy on any device very easily. The code in the image is Typescript!

Today I was working with Figma a lot for a client project. Figima is a wonderful web design mockup application that’s available in the browser and in amazing native applications. Through this, I was able to whip up some amazing mockups that really pleased my client.

Kubernetes is a Docker Container orchestration and management platform. Combine that with Digital Ocean, and you get a terrific system for managing application infrastructure!
