One of my favorite things about traveling is walking around and finding what I can find. I love discovering an architectural delight that uses space and symmetry in an artistic way.

Grand landscapes are always fun to observe, but so too are the small wonders of nature. These little sandstone nodules were no larger than an eraser on a pencil, but they created such a fascinating aspect of his outcropping of stone that I had to capture their beauty.

As I was running along fulfilling my dream of going across the Brooklyn Bridge and getting different views of that amazing wonder, I looked up as I approached the Manhattan Bridge and loved this view. Immediately stopped running, took a few steps back and snapped this photo! Always be on the lookout for the unexpected delight.

After reading "The Great Bridge" by David McCullough I wanted to walk across this amazing engineering feat. So when the opportunity presented itself, rather than walk, I ran across it and along the riverfront to get as different views of the bridge before heading back to the airport.

If possible I always get a window seat, and this is why! I love to see the topography of the land, the changes of the land mile after mile, and of course the perfect sunset!

The day was gorgeous, the weather was arctic. With a windchill of -4 it was hard to stay warm, but the view was spectacular, the snow good, and the lift lines not too long.

With low elevation clouds coming in around the mountain, high cirrus clouds lazily traveling overhead, and the sun shining through upon tall pine trees frozen from days of wind and snow, I couldn't help but think of these sentinels withstand the furry of storms and then bask in the decoration of their aftermath.

Always fun to come across evidences of the past while hiking. In the setting sun the footprints of multiple dinosaurs were more easily revealed with shadows in the depressions of each track.

The dancing clouds over the summit of Mt. Hood with a brilliant deep blue sky captivated my attention throughout the day. What an amazing display of nature's wonder!
